The Antutu score of MTK6592-first real Octa-core in the market leaked out in internet

In this summer, China famous tablet PC processor manufacturer MediaTek released the first real Octa-core tablet pc processor to the market. It contains 8 pcs of cores with cortex-A7 structure which can work at the same time.  It made with technology of 28 nm and the frequency of single core is up to 2 GHz.  The pictures of engineering sample have been released in internet.  However, it’s performance data which calculated by An tutu is still unknown.

Recently, there is a captured picture in internet which shows An tutu score of MT6592’s engineering sample. Refer from the captured picture, this engineering sample equipped with processor of 1.7 GHz frequency. The graphic processor is Mali-450 with RAM 1GB. The video format is 720P.  The final score in An tutu is 25,496 and it is a little lower than HTC One which equipped with processor of Snapdragon 600. But it has big gap of performance if compared with LGG2 which equipped with Snapdragon 800 processor.

However, Mediatek said this engineering sample only used lower frequency of MT6592 version. If the processor works under the highest frequency of 2 GHz then definitely can get score over 30,000 in An Tutu. If get some adjustment in software then the score would be even higher.

Now, all the Chinese tablet PC manufacturers are looking for new generation of processor then upgrade their production line. We would see more and more tablet PC with Octa-core come to the market.
