After last internal customer A23 introduction meeting, here we got more detailed information of this new dual
core tablet PC processor.
Hearing from Allwinner that A23 would be their last version of dual core processor. As a leading Chinese tabelt PC manufacturer of processor, Allwinner got a good feedback from market of dual core.
Allwinner A23 uses 14mmx14mm BGA 280 chip packaging. It is smaller than A20 which uses 19mmx19mm.
The manufacturing process uses the most advanced 40 NM technology. One important change is integrated MIP DSI
which can save about 1 USD valued chip.
Besides, the components and parts around chip also have been reduced a lot which from 300 to 250 pcs.
The high integration not only easy for design and production but also reduces the percentage of
defective and promotes system stability.
A23 can support RAM from 512 MB to 1G DDR3, the display can support from 800x480 to 1280x800.
The camera can support 5.0 MP and battery can last 10 hours of voice calling. The thickness of tablet PC can be reduced to 7mm.
